Healthy, Macro Friendly Donuts? Yes We Did.

This Valentines Day we decided to really pull at your heart strings with these Chocolate Macro Friendly Donuts. They’re everything you typically dream of in a donut, but come without the guilt. These dripping circles of joy post up at only 121 calories (for one), are packed with protein and fit right in with your macros. So go ahead, eat two, spread the love, and have a wonderful Valentines Day!

Chocolate Macro Friendly Donuts Recipe

Donut Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/3 Cup Truvia (Granulated Baking Blend) (Stevia could be an alternative)
  • 1 Cup Blanched Almond Flour
  • 4.5 Scoops Chocolate Whey Protein
  • 3.5 Tbsp Organic Coconut Oil
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda

Donut Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Mix the above ingredients
  • Fill Zip Lock Bag with batter and cut one end corner off
  • Pipe out batter into the donut pan. Be sure to only fill half way – the donuts will rise.
  • Bake for 7-8 minutes
  • Makes 17-18 donuts

Frosting Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Fat Free Cream Cheese
  • ¼ Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 2 Scoops Vanilla Protein

Frosting Instructions:

  • Microwave cream cheese to soften
  • Whip cream cheese, almond milk, and protein
  • Dip each donut, let harden, and dip once more
  • Add tsp of sprinkles (4g Carbs)
